The SWIFT CARE story is interesting. It is founded by a dynamic couple Kanica and Akshay. Both are post-graduate physical therapists with over a decade of experience in various healthcare settings from hospitals, corporate clinics to community based settings.
While providing physiotherapy in different healthcare settings in Ontario, Canada and observing clinics, they noticed that patients were treated like clients or transactions in most cases. Clinics rarely empower their patients by educating them about their health or condition.
Moreover, patients’ recovery is slowed due to a lack of empathy and patient education, as well as a lack of patient-centred care. As a result, they felt it was a moral responsibility to address this issue. It was for this reason that the idea of swift care was conceived in the year 2018.
Injuries and pain have specific timelines to heal, but with prompt advice and swift care, one can regain or reclaim their health quickly, hence the name SWIFT CARE.
We strive to empower our patients so they can make informed choices about their health by responding swiftly to any concerns.
