Choosing The Best Chiropractic Clinic

Improve the way your body moves so you can continue to do the things you love. Here are 5 questions to consider when choosing the best chiropractic clinic:

Costs of Chiropractic Care in Toronto, Ontario

Treatments are covered by most insurance plans and can direct bill your insurance company when available.

OHIP stands for Ontario Health Insurance Plan. Funding is provided through the Ontario Community Chiropractic Clinic Program, and is available to eligible patients free of charge.
A referral is required by your doctor or nurse practitioner. Your chiropractic will complete an assessment, diagnose your condition and develop a treatment plan based on your goals.

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident (MVA) in Ontario, you are entitled to accident benefits coverage. Under the Ontario Insurance Act, no-fault insurance entitles all individuals involved to coverage regardless of whether you were at fault. The amount of funding you will receive depends on the type of injury that you have sustained.

If you have been in a car accident you should contact your insurance company to let them know. And then book an appointment with a chiropractic to start treatment right away. The good news is that you don’t have to wait for approval by the insurer to get started. And the clinic can bill the automobile insurer directly so you can focus on recovering and not on all the hassles with paperwork and payments.

Injured at work? Then you may be eligible to have your treatment covered by WSIB.

If you have injured yourself at work you and your employer need to file a WSIB claim and complete the necessary paperwork. You can then go for an assessment at an approved WSIB chiropractic clinic. With an approved claim the WSIB will cover the cost of your treatment based on their approved fee schedule.

Chiropractic is normally included in a healthcare benefit package provided by your employer or purchased by you. Coverage varies plan to plan, and can range from $300 in a calendar year up to an unlimited amount. So you need to look into the details of your health benefits coverage. Chiropractics are direct access professionals and do not require a referral. However, there are still a few insurers that require a referral from a doctor to access your chiropractic coverage.

Most clinics offer direct billing so they will be able to manage the administration of your reimbursement so you can focus your efforts on your treatment instead of managing paperwork and payments.

The fees for chiropractic services vary depending on the type of treatment, your condition, and time that is required. Some clinics offer more specialized services and do charge more per session.

Assessments: $105 to $180
Treatments $75 – $140

You will always be told the cost of the services when you book your first appointment and the therapist will give you a detailed treatment plan including expectations and costs after your initial assessment.
