Physiotherapy

At Willow Park Physiotherapy and Wellness, we go the extra mile to ensure every patient is cared for in a personalized and professional manner. Our experienced physical therapists are trained to provide a wide range of interventions and treatments for sports, automobile and work injuries, rehab, TMJ, vestibular rehab, chronic back and neck pain, and more.

Chiropractic Care

Pain changes everything, from how you do your job, to how you relate with your family, to how you spend your free time. Whether you’ve been injured recently, or you’ve been suffering from some pain that you’ve just learned to live with, pain diminishes your quality of life. At Willow Park Physiotherapy and Wellness, we know that specific, targeted chiropractic treatments can make a huge difference in your daily life-and in your happiness!

We incorporate the latest scientific advances in our chiropractic care to offer you a comprehensive range of treatment options. Because chiropractic adjustments help restore optimal function to the body, your chiropractic treatment goes beyond simple pain relief to deliver better mobility and improved overall wellness.

Massage Therapy

To offer you the most comprehensive care, our Willow Park Physiotherapy and Wellness physical therapists are also certified massage therapists, skilled in a wide variety of massage techniques including sports massage, deep tissue massage and soft tissue release.

Massage therapy is one of the oldest forms of therapeutic treatment, in which a therapist applies pressure to manipulate soft tissue and break down muscle adhesions (knots) in the body. Over time, massage has developed into a wide range of techniques, all of which help to promote healthy well-being. Studies show that massage therapy is a highly effective treatment for reducing stress, pain, muscle soreness and tension.

Spinal Decompression

Incorrect posture, strains, and injuries can lead to discs in the spine becoming injured or damaged. Spinal decompression is an effective, non-invasive way to help alleviate the symptoms. At Willow Park Physiotherapy and Wellness, we provide safe and affordable spinal decompression to help get you back to doing what you love.

The delicate intervertebral discs in your spine provide cushioning between your vertebrae and act as shock absorbers in the spine. They also allow for better mobility in the spine and, thus, better overall flexibility.

Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine to create negative pressure that reduces the stress on the discs. It also increases the flow of oxygen and nutrient-rich fluids into the discs, facilitating healing.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure used for the regeneration of tissues (bone, tendon, muscle, skin). Shockwave therapy works by passing sound waves through the skin to the injured part of the body, using a special machine.

These shockwaves break down scar tissue and increase circulation, which stimulates new blood vessel growth and encourages stem cell migration to the damaged area. Shockwaves are a scientifically-proven treatment of acute and chronic pain, with virtually no side effects. Typically, conditions are resolved after 3-5 sessions.

Orthotics

As your feet are the foundation of your body, you want them to feel terrific and be functional. If you have foot pain or a foot condition that affects your quality of life, orthotics may help. These shoe inserts provide support, stability, and balance.

If a custom foot orthotic is recommended and you agree to our treatment plan, you will then be casted. This process involves creating a three-dimensional mold of your foot using plaster of Paris, an STS slipper sock, or a laser scanner while you’re in a non-weight bearing position.

Once casting has been completed, your appointment will be finished. The molds of your feet will be used to make the custom foot orthotics
