Zuzana Beyer is a Registered Massage Therapist with over 10 years experience, specializing in Integrated Orthopedic Massage, Complicated conditions, Sports injuries and Athletic performance. She is also a teaching assistant for James Waslaski. Zuzana has a Personal Trainer experience, her treatments incorporate Swedish massage techniques to elevate pain and reduce everyday stress. Massage therapy consists of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body; specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints.
Myofascial release is a whole body, hands on approach focusing on the fascial systems. Fascial restrictions can be caused by physical trauma, inflammatory or infectious process or structural in balance, dental malocclusion, osseous restriction, leg length discrepancy and pelvic rotation, etc. Having restrictions on the fascial structures, can cause symptoms locally or distant from the area of injury. All the appropriate localized treatments will produce poor or temporary result because the imbalance and excessive pressure from the Myofascial tightness remain untreated. The goal of Myofascial release is to remove fascial restrictions and restore the body’s equilibrium.

The pelvic floor muscles give the support for the organs in the pelvic floor. In a normal situation these muscles should be able to contract and relax to maintain normal bladder and bowl function, when these muscles cannot function well due to its (hypo or hyper tonicity) or abnormal tone people presents with many symptoms such as urinary urgency, frequency, hesitancy, painful urination, unable to empty completely, constipation, pain the low back and pelvic area, pain during or after intercourse. Pelvic floor dysfunction can be evaluated and treated by Physiotherapist using internal or external manual technique.
