Luckily, you can get help from our professional chiropractors here at York Rehab Clinic. We can bring you to a bodily state where you feel revitalized, energized and ready to take on the day ahead. Patients who have undergone chiropractic care have noticed significant changes in both their physical and mental wellbeing, giving them the strength to be their best self no matter the situation or obstacles life brings.
Here at York Rehab Clinic, we provide patients with osteopathy treatment to help relieve pain and bring the body back to its normal state. Osteopathy focuses on the overall health of the body and its relation to everything that functions within it — this includes the muscles, nerves, bones and organs. Instead of treating one specific symptom or illness, osteopathy focuses on the body as a whole, seeing as everything in our body is interconnected.
Osteopathy has been used for over 100 years, and is seen as an effective way to energize the body and relieve it of its dysfunction and overall strain on your wellbeing. There are a wide range of different techniques that an osteopathic practitioner will use, and all of it will depend on the type of symptoms one experiences, the severity of said symptoms, and the location of said symptoms.
Here at York Rehab Clinic, we offer a wide number of services — one of them being massage therapy. Massage therapy works to relieve your body of any tension, pain or general discomfort. Our professional therapists can implement the most effective skills in the field to ensure that your next session gives you transformative results.
Massage therapy is essentially the manipulation of the body’s soft tissues. This includes everything from the muscles to the connective tissue and the joints. Whether you are dealing with an acute or a chronic type of condition, massage therapy is effective in aiding the body back to health.
Acupuncture is a very old treatment, dating back thousands of years. It is a type of traditional Chinese medicine that focuses on bringing the energy flow of the body back. It is based on the idea that there are blockages within the pathway of the body that stop energy from flowing through the body effectively. The thin needles are supposed to target specific points on the skin that restore the flow of the body’s energy. This increase in energy flow can also help with healing and make you feel at peace.
There are many possibilities as to why acupuncture is so effective. It is most commonly thought that it boosts the autonomic nervous system (the system which is in control of bodily function) and releases chemicals that stabilize blood pressure and reduce inflammation.
Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. It is composed largely of water and proteins, and it provides a medium for red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to circulate through the body.
Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells that cause blood clots and other necessary growth healing functions.
Platelet activation plays a key role in the body’s natural healing process.
