Combined Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Intervention
Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on supporting a child and family complete meaningful activities. Occupational Therapists work with children of all ages and abilities. OTs may also help children with disabilities or chronic conditions learn strategies to manage their symptoms and participate in activities they enjoy. Overall, the goal of an OT working with children is to help them achieve independence, improve their quality of life, and reach their full potential.
When a child is referred to Occupational Therapy, the first step is always a 1 hour assessment. At the end of the assessment the treatment pathway is agreed upon by the family and therapist.
